The new year’s kicking off with some exciting news for all you Throne and Liberty fans out there! On January 9th, NCSOFT dropped Update 1.12.0 (Patch 28.501.075), packed with tons of upgrades and tweaks. Whether it’s extending the Startree Solstice Pass Point Shop, fine-tuning the UI, or sharpening up combat mechanics—this update’s got a little something for everyone. Here’s the lowdown on what’s new and how you can make the most of it!
Throne and Liberty Update 1.12.0 Patch Notes
Startree Solstice Pass: More Time to Shop!
Missed out on some rewards from the Startree Solstice Pass? No worries – NCSOFT’s got your back. Since the Point Shop closed earlier than it should’ve, the devs extended the deadline to January 16th. That means you’ve got a few extra days to grind out those quests and spend your shiny Star Crystals.
Heads-up, though: the Premium Track is only available until today (January 9th). And if you’ve got leftover crystals at the end of the season, they’ll convert into Quality Recovery Crystals. Not exactly the same vibe, but hey, better than nothing, right?
Combat Tweaks: More Power, Less BS
The battles in Throne and Liberty are legendary, and this update brings a whole bunch of changes to make things smoother:
- Team Buffs: You’ll now see your squad’s buffs more clearly, even if you’ve got “Only show my animations” turned on. Healing spells like Fountain of Life are gonna pop up as they should.
- Weapon Warnings: If your weapon’s maxed out, the game will now warn you before you waste Training Dew on it. Finally!
- War Games: Respawn protection (Fonsine’s Blessing) is officially out – it’s time to up your PvP game.
Weapon Balancing: Fine-Tuning Your Arsenal
Several weapons got a little TLC to keep things fresh and fun. Here are the highlights:
- Spear – Unyielding Sentinel: Now stacks CC resistance every time you get hit (up to 15 hits). Cooldown’s down to 24 seconds. Bonus: You can specialize it to trade the base effects for hit and CC accuracy boosts when attacking.
- Spear – Nimble Steps: Bonuses now apply instantly—no more stacking required. Plus, you’ll get ranged evasion when using movement skills.
- Crossbow – Explosive Trap: The detonation animation now shows up on the target, not you. About time, huh?
- Greatsword – Guillotine Blade: Damage numbers now show up on-screen when you use it with AoE specs.
- Dagger – Brutal Incision: Got a poisoned enemy? You’ll now see damage text properly when using this with the Damage Increase specialization.
Gameplay Upgrades: The Little Things That Matter
The patch also brings some fixes that’ll make your life easier:
- Saurodoma Island: Dungeon tokens now expire after 24 hours if you don’t open them. No more guessing games.
- Controller Support: That annoying lock-up during Party Vote Kick? Gone.
- Gathering Animations: Transforming doesn’t stop you from flexing those gathering moves anymore.
UI Polish: Clean, Smooth, and Easy to Navigate
The game’s UI got a sweet upgrade too. Here’s what’s new:
- Chat Window: It now scales with your screen resolution. No more squinting at tiny text.
- Material Transmutation: Sorting options are here—finally makes crafting less of a headache.
- Auction House: Duplicate and broken search filters? Say goodbye to those.
- Inventory: You can now lock fishing bait in your inventory. Anglers, rejoice.
Bonus Fixes for the Hardcore Players
For the dungeon divers and interserver warriors, this patch has you covered. Bosses that were showing up at the wrong level? Fixed. And those War Games team assignments? Way easier to manage now.
This update feels like a late holiday gift for the community. Whether you’re grinding quests, dominating PvP, or just vibing around the world, Update 1.12.0 makes everything a little better. So saddle up on your favorite mount, check out the new items in the Ornate Coin Shop, and dive back into the action.
