Ubisoft’s at it again! On January 16th, they dropped the latest Update 1.000.025 for their pirate adventure, Skull and Bones. No new treasure maps this time around, but they’ve definitely polished things up. Got your ship ready? Let’s dive into what’s packed into this new patch.

Since Season 4 launched, the Ubisoft crew has been working hard to squash bugs and make improvements based on player feedback. The result? Patch Y1S4.1.3, which comes with balance tweaks and a bunch of bug fixes.

Gameplay Updates

  • Status Effects: The armor reduction from the “Punctured” effect has been scaled back from 500 to 300.
  • “The Great Shadow” Mythic Vikram Event:
    • The event’s armor and hull health got a boost.
    • Players now auto-transfer to a new server 5 minutes after the event wraps up.
  • Vanderkill World Event: The vortex effect from mortar attacks has been adjusted to the proper level.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Combat: Aiming weapons on rough waves is smoother now, and the taunt effect actually works better on enemy ships.
  • Weapons: The Nashkar long gun’s range is now 1000m, as it should’ve been.
  • Contracts & Quests: Stuck quests? Missing rewards? Fixed. Your Journal won’t be haunted by completed contracts anymore.
  • Loot & Resources: The drop rate for certain vanity items, like the Cold Façade, has been increased.
  • Audio: Shanties that were too quiet and missing sound effects in outposts? All fixed.

Stability & Performance

Ubisoft also tightened up the game’s overall performance:

  • Crashes while tracking blueprints are gone.
  • PS5 users, rejoice—CPU issues have been resolved.
  • Other tweaks mean smoother sailing for everyone.
