This guide will help you master the Kill Challenge with Adolf Riese in Sniper Elite Resistance. If you are in Mission 7, Lock, Stock and Barrels, you can see from the kill list that Adolf Riese is one of the targets. He is located in a small estate on the map. If you are going after this target, you should consider completing the Kill Challenge at the same time, even though it requires a lot of patience. The challenge is: Kill Adolf Riese with Poison.
There are many discussions online about this challenge. Some believe it cannot be completed, while others think the task is buggy. We will explain exactly what you need to do to complete the objective and unlock the B.A.R. M1918.
Step by Step – Kill Adolf Riese with Poison
In the first step, you need to approach the estate very carefully. It is recommended to come from the south. The estate has a barn and a main house. You must not mark any soldiers, not draw attention, and everything must happen silently and unnoticed! If you approach from the south, you will reach the back of the barn. Inside, two Wehrmacht soldiers are talking and seem pretty relaxed.
Now, sneak past the right side of the barn, towards the road and the main entrance of the estate. Be careful of the guard patrolling there. If the coast is clear, move to the other side towards the main house. Sneak between the wall and the house until you reach the open window.
When you look through the window, you should see a small round table with a cup full of wine. Make sure Adolf Riese is on the first floor and climb inside towards the cup. If everything has been silent up to this point, a dialogue will start! Your character will philosophize about adding poison to the cup. If that happens, sneak back to the rear entrance of the barn!
One of the two guards should now be standing outside by the window. Silently eliminate the soldier! Make sure to perform a melee kill because if you use a silencer and don’t get an instant kill, the soldier will scream shortly before dying!
Now, enter the barn and grab the rat poison from the table on the left. Sneak back to the main house the same way as before, through the window. Pour the poison into the cup and wait at a safe distance for Adolf Riese! He will come, he will drink, and he will die.
Important: If you grab the poison first, mark an NPC, or attract attention, it will not work! The cup will then remain inactive.
