Lighthouse Statue Puzzle

Have you ever noticed the statues in the lighthouse in Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Did you know there’s a tricky and rewarding puzzle hidden behind them? In this guide, we’ll tell you everything about it and, of course, how to solve it.

Lighthouse Statue Puzzle Solution

Your central hub in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the lighthouse. It’s essentially your home base, as well as that of your companions. You’ll frequently need to rest there, and during each visit, new side quests for your companions will become available. But that’s not all—there’s also a secret puzzle, which is required to unlock the “Nostalgia Trip” achievement.

In the open area outside the lighthouse, there are several buildings and a total of six statues. These statues can be moved—or more accurately, rotated. First, you need to locate the statues, then rotate them so that they are facing each other, forming three pairs.

The theory behind the puzzle is pretty simple! When standing in the courtyard in front of the lighthouse, there are:

  • Two statues on the LEFT
  • Two statues on the RIGHT
  • Two statues above the lighthouse door.

The goal is to rotate them so that they are looking directly at each other.

If done correctly, the music room in the large circular hall inside the lighthouse will open. Next, you need to bring two Wisps into the music room. One should appear there automatically. The second one can be found between the two statues that you rotated on the upper level outside, above the door.

Once both Wisps have been placed, a portal will appear.

Important note: You can only fully solve the puzzle and earn the trophy once you’ve reached Chapter 8 (Shades of the Blight) and unlocked the Wisps. Without this, there won’t be a Will-o’-Wisp in the music room, and the puzzle cannot be completed!
