Monster Hunter Wilds
The Hunt is Back, Bigger Than Ever! Capcom is leveling up the Monster Hunter franchise with Monster Hunter Wilds, the next-gen beast-slaying adventure. First revealed at The Game Awards 2023, this game has been turning heads ever since. Following up on Monster Hunter: World and Monster Hunter Rise, this might just be the biggest and boldest entry in the series yet.
Monster Hunter Wilds is coming straight from the OGs at Capcom, the same devs who’ve been running the monster-hunting game since 2004. They’re promising a more immersive, dynamic, and unpredictable world than ever before—so yeah, this one’s gonna be wild.
What’s the Deal with Monster Hunter Wilds?
Just like in previous games, you step into the boots of a Hunter, tracking and taking down massive beasts. But this time, the world is bigger, badder, and way more unpredictable. Here’s what’s new:
- Seamless open world with changing weather patterns
- Smarter, more reactive monsters
- Improved AI—these creatures learn and adapt
- New weapons and hunting mechanics
The story throws you into unexplored lands where new monsters roam and strange forces threaten the ecosystem. Capcom says the world will feel more alive and dangerous than ever before.
Genre & Gameplay
This is still a hardcore action RPG, but with deeper multiplayer integration. You can roll solo or squad up for co-op hunts, collect loot, and keep upgrading your gear. Combat is still skill-based—dodge, strike, repeat—but now, the environment plays a bigger role in how you hunt.
Release & Platforms
Set to drop in 2025, Monster Hunter Wilds is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Capcom has already hinted at post-launch updates and fresh content, so expect plenty of reason to keep grinding long after launch.
