The upcoming update 2.02 for “Cyberpunk 2077” is on the verge of release, promising a range of improvements and bug fixes for the game. According to the changelog on the official CD Projekt Red website, this update will make several important changes.
One of the key fixes is the resolution of a bug at the end of the “Path of Glory” quest, where V could die when entering the Delamain AV. This was an issue that had plagued many players for some time. CD Projekt Red recommended opening and closing the map as a temporary solution while entering the AV until the update is available.
Key Improvements and Resolutions in Update 2.02
In addition to fixing this specific bug, other issues will also be addressed. The shutters that blocked access to Black Sapphire in “Run This Town” will be corrected. Another problem, where cyberware could be downgraded to Tier 1 following the 2.01 game update, will also be fixed. Furthermore, passive skill progression will be corrected, and the timers in courier missions will be rebalanced.
It was also mentioned that the issue where players on the Xbox Series X/S are not unlocking the pre-order bonus Quadra Sport R-7 “Vigilante” is still being investigated. CD Projekt is working with Microsoft to identify the cause and find a solution as soon as possible.
The release of Cyberpunk 2077 update 2.02 is still pending, but it is expected to be available shortly. Only a few days passed between the announcement and release of update 2.01.
Subsequent support for “Cyberpunk 2077” will focus on bug fixes. According to the developer, the “Phantom Liberty” expansion and the associated update 2.0 are the last major downloads for the game. At the same time, initial steps are being taken for the sequel.
Since its original release in December 2020, “Cyberpunk 2077” has undergone extensive improvements, with CD Projekt spending approximately $125 million on game enhancement and the development of “Phantom Liberty.”
